HE'S DOING JAIL TIME, NOT YOU!

I understand the term " my down ass chic" and being loyal to your man behind bars, its  an admirable thing, but when he starts setting curfews, calling around to check on you, asking your momma where you at and when is the last time you saw her, its a problem. I dated a guys who spent sometime in the bing, and after awhile I realized that's just not me.
Ill send commissary, send pictures, visit, write often and even check on your family once in awhile ,but I will not stop living my life because you made some bad decisions that ultimately effected the both of us, so while your checking up on me, did you think about us when you got yourself in this perdiciement? did you consider how lonely I would be without you? If you have a man locked up for more than 3+ years and your still in your early 20's come on, don't stop living your life, your life is just beginning.

I advise you to be honest with dude, and let him know your here for him, but remember  he's doing the time not you, but let him know he has your  support. I'm sure the last thing a dude inside wants to feel is  lonely, so if you were down with him when he was in the street, at least keep his books right and send those letters and pictures  and assure him you love him, but remember he's doing the time not you!

  1. Here I go with my opinionated self....get some FREE, then holla at me! I am not judging anybody, just speaking for myself and those like me. I let old boy know from the gate, I don't do time, sorry babe....and it makes me shake my head at the young women who are willing to have their lives dictated to by someone who has no control over their own day to day life. Boo Boo chose that........ Don't think for one minute that I am unsympathetic, but as a former prison employee, I saw the invisible lives that exist in that environment. Men that you would never think, would be all boo'd up with 4-5 different women on the outside, as well as their "inside boo". Ladies we have to be more careful! And think about the chilling statistic, if you go to prison, chances are you will do your time with little or no support from your significant other......
