Why are some of the most amazing women Ive met never graduated from College or even finished grade school. One women I know my ex mother in law was one of the wisest women I ever met. We both knew her famous son had a weakness for women and as much as I wanted to step out on him just to even the score I called her one of the nights he didnt make it home and asked her Gmama, how can I continue to do this I want to fight fire with fire, I want to get even, her words changed my life " darling men will be men, but always be good honest women" and I did. I carried that advice and I learned to keep my ears open and my legs closed and eventually those women he lusted for became his demise.
Another wise women I had the opportunity of meeting worked part time for 30 years as a line cook in a hospital kitchen , slaving over hot stoves, forced to steal fruit to feed her children, and sometimes she only had candy to give them for dinner. She walked to work everyday, raised her own kids and her daughters 7 children and died of cancer within 3 months after being diagnosed and in those months I spent everyday talking with her, taking care of her and one day she told me; if I had to do it all over again I would have been a dancer, but I gave my life to my children and I will die alone, dont give your whole life to your children be a good mother but your not obligated to lose yourself for anyone. She died and sometimes I see her in my dreams dancing and smiling and happy, telling me "live your best life"
