Solange cuts her hair off because she wants to let go of something women seem to hold to much regard to and spend to much time and money on. I can feel that. I recently cut my hair off and felt an instant calm come over me. My week started off horrible, my daughter of 22 years cussed me out and we had a terrible fight and I was attacked by my own Rottweiler, so I called a Salon in the area to make a hair appt because by this time I was ready to take some scissors and cut the shit off myself, but GOD is always working overtime. The stylist who is usually three months booked just happened to have an opening for me that day @ 5pm by 6, 80% of my hair was on the floor and I never flinched.
How important is your hair to you? Does your hair define you? would you agree that we spend to much time, energy and money on our hair? Is Solange crazy for cutting all her hair off or could she be sending a message to other women that their are other things we should be more focused on. Based on my own experience, the average women spends 3-8 hrs in a hair salon and usually leaves complaining that they will never go back again and in 2 weeks they are in the chair again or under the dryer talking shit. Is it the allure of the beauty shop women can resist?, the environment, or are we just to damn vain, I don't remember everyone getting all hyped when Erica chopped her locks off or India Irie got a baldy, so whats the big deal about Solange Knowles going bald? Maybe someone put a spell on her in New Orleans, maybe she got ring worm, maybe she pulled a Brittany and flipped out, or maybe the girl just wanted to cut her damn her off.
